A Kerala style fish curry with the goodness of kokum and coconut milk...

Ingredients :
- Fish ( I used Salmon) : 10-12 pieces
- Mustard seeds : 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste : 1 tsp
- Shallots : 10 nos.
- Turmeric powder : 1/2 tsp
- Fenugreek powder : 1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder : 1 tsp
- Kashmiri chilli powder : 2 tbsp
- Tomato : 1 medium chopped
- Kokum/ kudampuli : 2 pieces
- Thin coconut milk : 2 cups
- Thick coconut milk : 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Oil
Cook it up !
- Heat oil in a nonstick kadai ( or manchatti/ earthen pot if available).
- Add mustard seeds and let it splutter. Add ginger garlic paste and saute.
- Add the shallots with turmeric powder, coriander powder, fenugreek powder and chilli powder.
- When it is cooked, add chopped tomatoes, saute well.
- Pour the thin coconut milk to this. Add kokum pieces/ kudampuli to this.
- When it is boiling, add in the fish pieces. Cover and cook till the fish is done.
- Finally add the thick coconut milk, Wait for 2 minutes and switch off the flame.
- Serve hot with rice. This is a very tangy and spicy fish curry.
