Wanted to try these when I saw this here. Having a hard core non-vegetarian husband has helped me to try a variety of non-vegetarian dishes. I wanted to try samosas since a long time , this was my first attempt and am glad that it turned out to be delicious !

What's in it:
For the wrapper dough:
- All purpose flour : 1 cup
- Baking powder : a pinch
- Water : as needed
- Salt : to taste
For the filling:
- Chicken : 1 cup boiled and shredded
- Onions : 1 large finely chopped
- Garlic : 2 cloves minced
- Pepper powder : 2 tsp
- Salt : to taste
- Garam masala : 1 tsp
- Oil
Let's do it !
- In a bowl, make a dough using AP flour, water, baking powder and salt. Knead the dough to form a soft mass.
- Cover with a damp cloth and keep aside.
- Now, to the filling. Heat some oil in a kadai and add the chopped onions to it.
- When they are golden brown, add garlic, pepper powder, garam masala and salt and saute well.
- Add the chicken pieces and blend well.
Assembling the samosa :
- Divide the dough into small balls. Roll the balls into thin circles.
- The original recipe calls for cooking the dough circles on a tawa to avoid the raw taste at this stage. I did not do this, but they still tasted fine.
- Cut the circles into half.
- Bring together the straight edges and seal them using flour+water mixture.
- Now forms the cone to which the filling can be spooned in.
- Once the filling is done, cover the cone by bringing together the open ends and sealing them with flour+water mixture.
- Like this keep all the samosas shaped up and ready to be fried.
- Heat oil in a deep kadai. Deep fry the samosas and drain them on a paper towel.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
